Do you have an item that is difficult to package? We guide you through the whole process, from beginning to end. We will do everything we can to satisfy our customers’ needs and wishes. We listen carefully to the details of your process and would be happy to visit you to find the best solution. If we are not the right partner for your request, we will help you find an alternative. All our packaging is custom-made. We deliberately do not publish a catalogue, as every customer request is different. Your wishes will be analysed, and we will translate each of your packaging ideas to our customizing process. Quality, flexibility, and customization are central to this. Quality is our priority and is at the heart of everything our company does.

Once we have analysed your needs, we will develop a 3D concept of the packaging solution. Our designers will continue to refine the concept until all your needs and wishes have been incorporated. Once the concept is ready, a test sample will be made. This sample will be tested and checked on various aspects. In the test phase, we check whether the packaging meets all the requirements, and we make sure that the packaging performs optimally in your production process. If applicable, tests are also conducted on the top seal. We only complete the product development stage and proceed to the next step once both you and we are satisfied

The moulds and all the other necessary moulding tools used in thermoforming packaging materials are produced entirely in-house. Before we start to make the final mould, we first produce a prototype. This prototype is thoroughly tested, so that we can be completely certain that the packaging corresponds to the design. If the tests are successful and satisfactory, we will make the final mould.

At Verstappen, we have been building our own machines for years. By doing so, we can guarantee the quality of our packaging and are not dependent on other parties. Our technical department will modify the machines if this enables us to produce the right packaging solution for you, our customer. Our own technical department also performs proactive maintenance on machines to ensure the continuity of the production process.

The plastic film needed for thermoforming is made by means of film extrusion. This is a continuous process in which recycled plastic granules are pressed through a cross-section to create a film. The film then goes through a number of rollers until it is the correct size. Film quality determines a major part of the quality and continuity of packaging. Because we also perform the extrusion in-house, we can ensure that our packaging is of constant quality and is always delivered on time.

Thermoforming is a production technique for manufacturing plastic packaging in which the plastic film is pressed in a product-specific mould. This is done by means of heat, compressed air, and mechanical movement. After that, holes may be punched in the plastic using a punching machine. Then a cutting tool trims excess material from the product. The product is then finished and will be stacked and packed. Compared to other technologies, thermoforming is a sustainable process as less material is used and it offers a great deal of flexibility. This makes it easy to produce small-scale product requests.

We make our packaging based on recycled raw materials (soft-drinks bottles). The production process to create new packaging also produces residual material. Instead of throwing this material away, we keep it and sort it according to specification. This residual material is shredded in-house and reused in our production process. As a result, all the material is eventually turned into packaging. This completes the circle

We have our own modern distribution centre in which to store sufficient stocks of packaging depending on specific requirements. We manage the scheduling of transport ourselves to fulfil your delivery wishes perfectly. We satisfy all safety requirements and we are BRC Global Standard for Packaging & Packaging Materials level AA certified.
